Framing a mirage – communicating contemporary art and its values
An APAP publication edited by BIT Teatergarasjen and Karoline Skuseth
Performing arts are defined by their elusiveness, happening only once in time within the exact same context. In a strict sense every performance is a once in a life time experience. Many of them are never even repeated. The main question holding the different contributions in this book together is the following question: How can we frame and contextualize the specificity of the contemporary performing arts in manners that brings its political, social and aesthetic value to the fore?
The publication consists of contributions by, amongst others, Florian Malzacher, Joanna Warsza, André Eiermann and Bojana Cvejic, and dives into the relationship between contemporary art and our differing societies measurement of values.
The anthology is published with the support of the European Union's Culture Programme,
